Yoshidamachi-ju Beer Garden Block Party

I mentioned one of Yokohama's summer highlights in my last post:

Yokohama Fireworks Show: Sparkling Twilight 2014

Here's another - BEER GARDEN BLOCK PARTY!

What started off as an attempt to bring Yoshidamachi's old-school neighborhood businesses together has turned into one of the must-attend events of the year. Located within walking distance of JR Kannai Station, the Yoshidamachi-ju Beer Garden is a two-day all-day blow out of food, drink, music and good cheer. Yoshidamachi's main street becomes a "pedestrian's paradise", littered with locally based Japanese and ethnic foods, prize-winning craft beer, and music and jaw-dropping dance acts.

It's a great way to check out one of the lesser known jewels of the city. If you haven't before, you definitely should. You can't say you've experienced Yokohama until you do.

Dates: July 26th (Saturday) & August 23rd (Saturday)
Time: 15:00~21:00
Location: Yoshidamachi Hondori (Main Street)
Nearest station: JR Kannai

See you there!
