Hi,
I have lived in Japan for about 5 years and counting. All of that time I have lived and worked in Tokyo. My first stay in Japan was for 4 years in the early 2000's and returned in early 2013.
I write a blog about places in Japan, mostly Tokyo, but do get out to some other places too. Feel free to have a look.

Please enjoy this site, the blog, and of course, enjoy Japan.

I also recommend Hama Rikyu garden near Shiodome. It is an oasis in the middle of central Tokyo. There is one view that shows a very traditional Japanese garden (Hama Rikyu) with the tall buildings of Shiodome as the backdrop.I have written about Hama Rikyu here:http://www.alifelessnormal.co/…(54 words)

TokyoHighball
A highball is a mix of whiskey and soda water. I think one of the reasons it is so popular is that it is so cheap! As a mixer, water doesn't cost anything, and Japan does make some good whiskeys too.It is also available in convenience stores and liquor stores in cans.(53 words)
