How to Beat the Sun in Japan

In Japan, having fair skin tends to be considered an attractive trait, especially for women. Thus, many Japanese women take great care to avoid exposure to UV rays. One of the items often seen in the streets that women use to avoid the sun is the sun umbrella. These umbrellas can be purchased pretty much at any store selling regular umbrellas and are designed specifically to block UV rays. Although some of them can be used as regular umbrellas on rainy days, most of the sun umbrellas are designed just to escape the sun. My mother uses one that I purchased for her at a store called Sony Plaza. I recommend the Disney sun umbrellas that can be found at Disneyland and Disneysea.
