Can not wait Sakura? February is the time for Ume (plum) blossoms. In Sumida-ku, there are some places famous for Ume blossoms. Though Kameido Tenjin is also famous for wisteria, there are over 300 Ume trees.

Omurai-Katori Shrine; Kobaien
Omurai-Katori Shrine is a small shrine, which has a beautiful Ume garden called Kobaien. When you go to Kameido Shrine from mid Feburary through early March, I strongly recommed that you should better visit this place too.

Mukojima Hyakkaen
You can see various kinds of flowers at Mukojima Hyakkaen throughout the year. There are 19 kinds of Ume trees.
