Legoland Discovery Center in Odaiba, Tokyo

Legoland is a theme park dedicated to families with children between the age of 2 and 12 that features interactive rides, play space and attractions based on the LEGO toy brand.

The park is split into various areas such as a Lego miniland, play fields and model village. The model village is breathtaking. They feature models of iconic landmarks made from millions of Legos. The open space has special lightings to create one day sceneary from morning to night view. I especially liked the Annual Matches at the Kokugikan with so many Legos. Look at the photo!

The parks are marketed to families, and although they have a couple of rides, they are not as numerous as those in other parks. There is a greater emphasis on rides suitable for younger children. "Kingdom Quest" is an interactive Lego laser ride. The quality is like one of those in Disneyland and we could get on it without any waiting time, which was the coolest thing ever.

The description on their site sums it up very well; "Legoland Discovery Center Tokyo - it's like you've just jumped into the biggest box of LEGO bricks ever!"
