The most popular is to not expose your skin to the sun.
For this, Japanese women recommend:
- UV sunscreen (face and arms), with a protection 50++
- gloves that go up to the shoulder, even if it feels very hot
- sunshade umbrella
- stockings and UV cut material based clothes are a must
Well, sun and light are good for generating vitamin D naturally, which is important for bone calcification and which also brings anti-cancer immunities (do not ask me the specifics) so I would not recommend to evade sunlight 100% but to enjoy it within reasonable limits: do not get sunburned. It looks like a trade-off between beautiful young skin and long-term health.
