Street parking? Parking lot?

It is not recommended to park illegally on the side of the streets where there is no street parking, because the police come around frequently. Therefore, you should either use the street parking (and definitely put the money in the meter) or go to a nearby parking lot. For street parking, you usually put in the money for the amount of time (in multiples of thirty minutes) you plan to park your car. This is usually the cheaper way, although it can be more difficult to find parking. Although the parking lot (such as Times Parking) can be slightly more expensive, you do not need to know ahead of time how long you will be keeping your car in the parking lot.
