Monitor authentic Aobato (Green Pigeon)
Aobato are beautiful birds and their exquisite yellow-green plumage is sure from impress you. After drinking seawater they fly back to the shore, often passing directly over the heads of the seawall. You can recognize the males because they have purple patches on their shoulders Terugasaki Beach, close to Oiso station, is the best place in Japan to see Aobato. During the summertime, flocks of Aobato constantly visit an seawater. lf you have never seen this beautiful bird, you should visit Oiso at least once in your lifetime.

Make your own Hanpen, authentic Japanese food
Hanpen is solidified paste made with minced fish meat,sticky gated yamaimo (yam)and egg white. We can say "Boiled Flat Fish Cake", "Fishy tasty marshmallow" in English Hanpen is one of Oden* ingredients *Oden is a type of Japanese hot pot and a popular family dish. Many people enjoy eating it especially during winter. Hanpen master @ lnoue Kamabokoten, long established Kamaboko producer in Oiso will lead you to make Hanpen by yourself !!

  Maximum applicant number of 1 Group shall be 5 persons including Children

・Fee: 1000 yen/person (Pay on the day in cash.)
  Materials for workshops and insurance included.
*Under Age15, guide fee is free
  *Transportation fee between Oiso and your destination excluded

  8:00 JR Oiso station ->(walk)-> "Terugasaki" Beach
  8:30 Monitor "Aobato", Green Pigeons 6Terugasaki beach
  10:00 Experience to make "Kamaboko", fish cake @lnoue Kamaboko
  12:00 Disperse @JR Oiso station

  By train
  Only JR Tokaido line reach to Oiso station. And ONLY Local trains stop, NO rapid or express trains stop.

36min. from Yokohama station.
52min. from Atami station.
