Denbouin Garden in Sensoji

Denbouin Garden will be opened to public from March 13 through May 7. This Japanese garden is usually closed. The best time will be late March or early April when Sakura blooms. (The photos in this page are taken in late March or early April last year).

entrance fee: 300 yen
time: 10:00 - 16:00
period: March 13 - May 7

Sumida Park

There are about 640 Sakura trees on both sides of Sumida River. It is fun to walk along the river or ride a Hanami boat and see from the river.

Chomeiji Sakuramochi

In Sakura season, there is a long line to buy sweets at Chomeiji Sakuramochi, mochi stuffed with red bean paste covered with a leaf of Sakura.
The shop is located near Sakurabashi bridge in Sumida-ku, 10 minutes walk from Asakusa station.
