Coconoma Season Dining

I recently visited Roppongi for a day of museum hopping:
http://www.deepjapan.org/a/3738

Before I got started, however, I stopped by Coconoma Season Dining for lunch. They're located in the chic Roppongi Hotel and Residence building in 1-chome, just a few minutes walk from Tokyo Metro's Roppongi Station.

I was impressed by Coconoma's classy yet relaxing interior. Their staff was cheerful and polite and lacked the pretension that's sometimes associated with hotel-type venues. I was also surprised to see that for such a stylish-looking place, Coconoma's lunch menu prices are more than reasonable - especially considering the salad bar and coffee/tea service is an all-you-can-eat/drink (as explained by my lovely waitress).

The lunch menu usually offers three different kinds of pasta and an alternate choice (on the day I went, a shrimp and shiitake risotto). I ordered a Carrot and Wasabi Leaf Peperoncino with the salad bar for only ¥1200. The vegetables were fresh and delicious; the pasta was wonderfully presented and satisfying. And Coconoma's sexy yet elegant interior set my mood for the rest of the day.

Coconoma Season Dining is perfect for a lunch date with friends or a significant other, or for a business meeting get together. I'm sure I'll visit again to see what delightful dishes they have for dinner.

Highly recommended.
