Yokohama Marine Tower Summer Beer Garden

A Japanese summer just isn't complete without a visit to a beer garden. And although there are many to choose from, you'd be hard pressed to experience a more scenic one than at Yokohama's symbol of the city: the Yokohama Marine Tower.

There you can enjoy BBQ at their open-air terrace on the ground floor with beers, cocktails and more. The beautiful view of Yokohama Port and Yamashita Park can be seen from their spacious restaurant on the 4th floor.

The cost may seem steep at ¥4200/person, but when compared with other beer gardens, it's about the same (or cheaper); an absolute bargain if you also consider their full menu and spectacular views. For many it's well worth the price (20% discounts are available through the website below).

Easily accessible from Ishikawacho Station (JR Keihin Tohoku Negishi Line), Ishikawacho Station (JR Line, Municipal Subway Line), and Motomachi-Chukagai Station (Minatomirai Line), the event is open until the end of September.
