Need a Calm, Safe and Sound Harbour in the middle of Roppongi?
Checking in is smooth and easy the H&R (Hotel and Residence Roppongi)
Roppongi at times can be particularly busy, unkempt and full speed ahead when it comes to business and leisure hour pursuits. It's on the go 24/7 and if you don't get your bearings right it can be a somewhat overwhelming place say the least!
For first time tourists and businessmen alike one of the safest harbors is the H&L Hotel, a stylish and sturdy boutique hotel situated on the main Shibuya roadway and conveniently located literally within just a few minutes walking distance from the centrally located Roppongi Hills which is home to many of the largest corporations. the finest fashion outlets and a wealth of cafes and restaurants.
Navigating your way around the Hills can be tiring in itself and that is one of the many good reasons to choose the H&R (Hotel and Residence Roppongi) as your anchor. When you enter the lobby and front desk the cosmopolitan staff can all welcome you in good English or Japanese. Checking in is smooth and easy and you are escorted to your hotel room or residential apartments . The first seven floors are given over to the conventional hotel rooms while above 8th to the 20th floors are all only residential apartments.
Self-catering when you like but don't miss out on the breakfast
I stayed in a residential suite on the 19th floor with quite a commanding view of the Shibuya Street and the elevated highway that forms this unique causeway, which on a tall floor and with double glazing leaves Roppongi's noisy pursuits at street level.
These apartments would suit both the international businessman, young couples, as well as a small family, having both a double and a spacious single bed. In a good sense these very functional, well designed, securely built, self contained apartments which have plenty of cupboard space for all you bring with you as well as all the crockery, cooking pans and all other utensils one needs to be fully independent and self contained during your time there.
The breakfast was exceptionally healthy by the way. All around the world as well as in Japan too I have not had the best of starts to the day with dried out scrambled eggs, one or two anemic bits of meat. The cook at H&R cooked the scrambled egg and slices of beef along with plover eggs in sauce to perfection. Self service at the vegetable bar and a good bread basket that included good croissants and raisin bread rolls, blueberry jam.. well I think the point is as well made as the breakfast itself.

I would never have expected I could find somewhere in this part of Tokyo which allows guests 'kibun tenkan' (気分転換) (a chance to rest, a change of pace) in Roppongi but we really enjoyed a wonderful break out of our daily routines. Anyway I am back home now feeling like I have been away somewhere nice for the weekend.
