mosquito repellent incense

The Japanese name is KATORI-SENKO

I am living on the 39th floor of a building and there is not much mosquito there up my place. I think it is because there is no tree so high.

The only one we found climbed up with the elevators.

But the smell of katori senko is so nice and so reminiscent of Japanese summer that I cannot stop using it. It freshens the air each time you see the wind dissipating its fumes.

The major characteristic of katori senko is its shape in spiral. You can then burn it in various time of cute ceramics, sometimes shaped in little pigs, or in elegant plates designed by famous potters.
