Buddhism experience in Japan

The way of the warrior may not be easy to experience, but Buddhism and traditional Japanese religion is an insight into the power and culture of the warrior spirit.

I experienced a few hours of Zazen meditation practice and a traditional Buddhist vegan lunch in the Setoda-cho area of Onomichi, Hiroshima.

I think it's possible to experience meditation and Bushido experiences all around Japan.

Amy Chavez, long time resident of the island of Shiraishi, has recently published a beautiful and inspiring book on running the Shikoku area's pilgrimage trail. http://www.amazon.co.jp/Running-Shikoku-Pilgrimage-Miles-Enlightenment/dp/1884244351/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1375049505&sr=8-1&keywords=running+the+shikoku+pilgrimage+900+miles+to+enlightenment

There are a lot of people who also walk the trails, or as much as they can, seeking enlightenment.
